The Madness Within

Verse 1

I see the face of normality walk past
A shadow falls behind like a chain dragging him back
By day he walks among us, by night he stalks alone
Hides behind a mask, preys on unsuspecting souls

Bridge

No guilt, no expression, no remorse
No conscience governing his conflicting thoughts

Verse 2

Beyond a crime, twisted acts of inhumanity
Evil desire corrupting peace, ensewing suffering
His outside look conceals it, a lock and chain won't let you in
Deep down where no one sees it, the madness lives within

Bridge

Controlling his victims, slowly beating them down
Their inocense to the world, no peace to be found

Chorus

Buried in the back of your mind
The dorment evil instinct sleeps
Through time surpressed to make us blind
From the horrors that you can't give in
The madness lives within

Bridge

Noone suspects and noone questions your moves
As you're drifting in and out of your schizophrenic rules
Flicking a switch and your mind turns blank
The monster has returned, your sickening ways will drag you back

Verse 3

Ignorence, you laugh at the pain you've caused
Mocking the good with a double edged sword
The only thing holding you back is the strong arm of the law
And the thought of the steel of the bars on your door
